07.21.2007 25 Live - George Michael in Rome

Dopo tanti anni finalmente sabato ho potuto esaudire il desiderio di vedere George Michael in concerto. Fa un certo effetto vedere sul palco un artista di cui si è stati fan fin dalla prima canzone. Ricordo ancora quando durante le vacanze di Natale di tantissimi anni fa costrinsi mio padre a girare tutti record stores to search for the single "Last Christmas"! So to the concert of George Michael gave me the feeling of going to visit a friend who is not encountered for many years.
To celebrate its 25-year career has brought old and new hits: Faith, Jesus To A Child, The Edge of Heaven, and of course many more Amazing.
more emotion exploded when accompanied by an extraordinary saxophonist sang "Careless Whisper". The band's beautiful and amazing visual effects made the show memorable. His voice has never yielded and never have to say that the sound was so perfect all 'Olimpico. From
review!
English Corner:
Last saturday I went to see George Michael in concert. It has been an extraordinary show where he sang all his most successfull hits. I was really happy because I've been his fan since his first album. I had his poster in my bedroom and my desire was to dance with him "Careless Whisper"!
Once I went with my father to all the shops just to find the "Last Christmas" single! Finally we found it.
It was very emotional when he sang "Careless Whisper". He said: " thank you for this 25 year !" and...we can say the same to him!

thinking of "Happy Days"

Di quei momenti mi ricordo all television in black and white, my sister who threw down the tiny glasses from the chair and then said, "Mom! iotti chebembe." Yes, he had a language all its own!
But now we come to the recipe!

My First Bento!

few weeks ago, returning from work I found a nice package waiting for me. I pointed to the sender that the packet came from Kobe, Japan and send it to was my dear friend Tomoko.
Tomoko and I are friends since 2001 when we met in London. She is truly a special person, and likeable, as she likes to be called, a "Japanese-Neapolitan" for his contagious joy. When we were in London I was struck by his unbridled passion for dancing ... have you ever seen a Japanese dance salsa? Tomoko

His dream is to have its own restaurant, I believe that soon all this will be realized.
But back to talking about the package, packed as usual so encumbered by "Tomokina" and contained within this beautiful Bento you can see in the picture. I was really happy because I wanted so much to buy a real Japanese bento. What is a bento? It is nothing but a Lunch boxes. In Japan, an object is widely used, so that mothers are the real races between them because the children have Inside the bento with more good food and especially beautiful to see. A demonstration of affection of mothers towards their children. Tomoko
also sent me some pictures and directions on how to prepare rice and snacks with which to fill my bento. I can only give me to do and once again thank my friend Tomoko.

Farro Barley +

L'estate ci accompagna in questi giorni con i suoi alti e bassi. Punte di caldo da non dormire la notte fino a tornare a temperature normali come quando non si parlava di allarme inquinamento, buco dell'ozono e malattie della Terra.
In queste last 3 nights I slept like a log really, even with the windows closed tonight (miraculous to be in Rome!) and clinging to the sheet. The problem comes when they wake up that is every day more difficult. I think the fatigue of a year's work we are doing to hear.
Another interesting aspect is how the taste of summer is orientated towards certain foods.
It 'been completely set aside my infinite passion for chocolate, sauces, processed, manufactured foods too.
Now my desire to run colored dishes, vegetables, beautiful and varied fruit that summer offers us, fresh (or cold!) And of course ice cream.
Last night was the time Farro Risotto with Barley and .
Serves 2
mixture of barley, barley, millet, mung beans, red lentils.
120 gr bacon
1 / 2 white onion
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 / 2 cup white wine
I dipped in a bowl 200 grams mixed with cold water and ' I left it to soak for 6 hours.
I rinsed the mixture boil, and I did, I drained and I have kept the cooking liquid.
In a pan I added a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, white onion, cut into slices and 120 grams of diced bacon, I added the mixture di cereali e legumi, un bicchiere di vino bianco ed ho fatto evaporare.
Ho continuato la cottura aggiungendo lentamente il liquido che avevo conservato e mescolando con cura. Raggiunta la consistenza desiderata ho servito in tavola.
English Corner:
Summer is going on with hot days, unexpected showers and then again.
Lately we had sunny days but withouth umidity. Last night I had a good sleep with closed windows ( quite incredible in July for this city!).
Unfortunately the problem starts in the morning. It's so difficult get up, I feel like all the weariness gained after a year of work is coming out. I need holidays, but I have to wait until August.
There is an interesting change in my life about food. Now I've completely forgotten my passion for chocolate, sauces and rich foods. I want only vegetables, fresh cheese and ice cream.
Yesterday I made a Risotto .....without rice but with Spelt and Barley.
Ingredients for 2
200 gr of Spelt, Barley, Pearl Millet, Red Lentils, Green Beans
120 gr bacon cubes
1/2 white onion
1/2 glass white wine
