Once in Inverness, we were charmed by this small town (only 50,000 inhabitants) crossed from the River Ness.
Capital of the Highlands, is rich in museums, a castle in 800 and rebuilt Jacobite restaurants, pubs and structures that are also a very popular tourist destination.
During the two days spent in Inverness, we chose "home" Hotel Alexander , centrally located bed & breakfast run by Mr and Mrs Nisbet. The environment is kept comfortable and romantic rooms with river views. Mrs. Nisbet welcomed us with such warmth and a big smile, asking them every night you want to report preferences for breakfast the next morning.
breakfast we were never disappointed Inglese Full Breakfast or Scottish salmon with scrambled eggs, porridge, cups of berries. Good and so abundant as to make us safely arrive until the afternoon with no hunger!
way back from a trip to Loch Ness and regret not being able to meet from Nessie, we went to the Victorian Arcade. This is a small shopping center in the Victorian era, recently renovated. Within the traditional stores with products of the Highlands, jewelers, tailors, shops for collectors and a delightful tea room: K's.

Posso dirvi che ne avrei mangiato volentieri un'altra fetta!
In serata abbiamo fatto un salto in un locale che è una vera e propria istituzione ad Inverness, l' Hootananny , lo Scottish Ceilidh Cafè Bar.
E' un pub molto speciale dove ogni sera ci sono concerti di artisti scozzesi. Naturalmente il locale era pieno ed accompagnati da un boccale di birra abbiamo ascoltato l'artista della serata, Sarah Macbeth. La sua beautiful voice and the pace have made the evening unforgettable.
