Sokka! dinner, half-blood and nerd and job satisfaction

L 'only event worthy of note this week was the dinner with those of Sokka! , an academic group that is responsible for forming relationships between all those who are not Japanese but who go to Musab. As the European contingent had no desire to put his nose out of the house, except David always full of enthusiasm for such matters, the evening was certainly the best in terms of companionship and fun when we're here, certainly merit of our own fuller understanding of Japan.

Alicia has also not failed to do his usual embarrassing figures, which has often been difficult to overcome and throw a joke. Earlier this evening, all around the plate than usual okonomiyaki in embarrassed silence, our French girl, intrigued by the mysterious origin of the head of the table, when addressed, asking his name. Brian - very little Asian name - only served to fuel the coquetry of Alicia, who comes out with a " Ah, but then you are not entirely Japanese! . By itself, the phrase does not contain anything offensive, at least for a Western conversation, but ... but we are in Japan and obviously dropped a veil of shame in the eyes of the poor Brian and who was sitting next to Japanese. You may not know it, as certainly did not know Alicia, being "half-blood" is not just a virtue here in Japan, very proud of his purity. Luckily for everybody, laugh and throw it on the thing forgotten past.

Continuing the night Alicia and I find confirmation of this paradox in Chris - boy from California who studied painting - who has lived here for four years. But with the Anglophone Alicia plays his second figure of shit of the night. "You computer studies, right?! " she begins " no," he replies laconically. " ah, maybe because I was convinced of it?! " ... he was dressed in a plaid shirt with short sleeves, tie unwatchable with paramecia of green and purple, and he missed only his glasses. "Maybe because they are fully dressed as a nerd "he says self-mocking him. Alicia was sinking, and I was embarrassed for her.

The biggest fool But Alicia has to do with the atomic bomb (!), but this I will tell the story alive.
